Rast Ich, So Rost Ich

I like bookplates and occasionally pop randomly through this digitized collection from the University of Illinois. Today I found this one – whose graphic style, no offense to Valerie, I don’t care for but whose motto I find very well chosen for a bookplate. It reads “Rast Ich, so Rost Ich” (When I rest, I rust).
